Risingmoon nodded. The harsh daylight was warming her back. Perhaps most cats would find the sensation comforting or peaceful. But Risingmoon shook a bit, as if a fly had just landed on her and she was twitching the little thing away. She glanced up, narrowing her eyes at the sky. Stupid sun. It blocked out the starts and the moon, made their brilliant shines fade in comparison. How dare it? She knew that it was StarClan's way - the sun filling the space between dawn and dusk, the velvet dark sky separating dusk and dawn. But how could her ancestors want to block themselves out with such a passionate, uncontrollable light?
Realizing her delicate jaw was clenched, and unclenching it, Risingmoon spoke again. "I hope you like the nighttime better than the day. Because this is the only training session we will be conducting during sunlit hours."
