A true story with a sad ending (and 3 fake names)

This story has fake names. I will be Emily, The smallest of Beatrice(real name, nickname:Bea)'s two-legs, My dad will be Ed, and my mom Sue. Parts of this story are made up or exaggerated.

Chapter 1
I was born a stray from a cat who used to be a kittypet. Life was not easy for me as a stray. As soon as I was old enough to catch prey, my mother sent me to fend for myself.
I remember clearly my first attempt to get food. I had smelled rat in a gutter and, not knowing how dangerous rats are, I tried to catch one. It jumped on me and dug it's sharp teeth in. I tried to shake it off, but it hung on. Finally I was forced to roll in the mud to loosen the rat's grip. I got it off but got covered in dirt and fleas in the process.
One day I saw a kittypet in a garden. The cat told me how luxurious life as a kittypet was. I decided that I would become one, and the other cat told me how. "But" he concluded, "don't give up if it doesn't work".
I went up to the door of a house as the kittypet had instructed and started meowing.

still chapter 1

For a while nothing happened. I waited for hours until it grew dark. My voice was getting tired and I wanted to sleep. But I kept on waiting. Finally someone came out. I waited hopefully for milk and an invitation inside. What I got instead was to be chased out of the yard with a broom. I ran as far away as was possible for a kitten my age. I learned to be scared of brooms, vacuums or anything at all like them. But I remembered the warning of the other. I didn't give up.

Still Ch. 1

I was chased away from many houses, and I started to give up on ever becoming a kittypet. Then, one day I came up to another house. It Was a nice color and had a pleasant smell to it. I meowed until a two-leg came out. Then I looked as pathetic as possible. They took me into their house. I had never seen the inside of a two-leg place before, and was very curious. I liked it. It had many soft surfaces and warm smells. I didn't like the carrier though. They put me in it as soon as I was finished sniffing. They took me to another place. Another person came. This was Sue. She took me into her place and let me sniff around. I half expected to be put in another carrier, but I wasn't. I was to stay there forever.

Chapter two

They took me to the vet in another of the carriers the next day. I had shots and I had to go into a gross liquid to get the fleas and ticks off me, but that was all. After that I went home. I began to like my human, even though the vet angered me (to put it lightly).

Of course, I had to train my human. At first she wouldn't let me on the furniture and tables. I told her with tooth and claw that taking me off was unacceptable. She got the message quickly. She fed me the same food every day, which was boring, but better then nothing. Every so often I would refuse my food, forcing her to buy some other food. I did it because every cat needs a change once in a while.
When I was four years old, we moved to a new house that had someone else in it too. My Sue had married Ed. Ed was nice and caring, but he didn't love cats as much as Sue. I decided to win over his heart by jumping on his lap a lot. I don't think it worked.
The next year Sue spent a week away and Ed only came to feed me. I hated being alone. When they came back they brought with them a new member of the household. Emily was a noisy baby. She cried a lot and kept me awake. She distracted Sue and Ed, who by this time I got along with, away from me. After the crying stage there was the tail pulling. I shudder to think of it now. She chased me around trying to "pet" me. During her attempts she ended up tail pulling a lot. But after those times She turned into a kind cat lover. I enjoyed her company as much as anyone else's and she loved me as much as Sue.

Chapter 3

One time, when nobody was in the house, I got out. They had left the back door open, as if just for me. I crept outside. For a while I had a good time. I walked around in their back yard and leaped around the hedges. It was the first time I had been outside in years. But the fun ended when I heard another cat hiss "get out of my territory!"

Still chapter 3

I turned around to see a cat blacker than the darkest night. He looked powerful and scary. But at that time I was strong. My fur stood on end and I hissed. We circled. He gave me a pre-fight scratch across the nose. I was about to swipe at him when Ed and Emily came home. I tried to continue my fight, but Ed made me go inside. The last thing I heard from the other cat was "housekit!"

Ch. 4

Many moons after that I started to feel weak and sick. My two-legs tried to take care of me. I had many more visits to the terrible vet. I started to get so sick I couldn't walk. Then, one day I was taken to the vet another time. Sue held me and stroked me so much that I purred. Then they gave me a shot and I started to feel very sleepy.
The next thing I new, I was back home, surrounded by strange cats. For some reason, I wasn't surprised. The blue-gray one started to talk. "you probably have not heard of us. We are only known before death by clan cats-" "you mean I am dead?" I interrupted. For some reason I didn't care what clan cats were. "yes." said the blue-gray she-cat. "you will come join the cats of starclan to watch over all Kittypets. I am Bluestar."
And since then I have watched over all Kittypets. I have seen clan cats. I have learned to hunt. And I like my home.
