A jet black tom sat near the center of the Clan, as was accustomed for the Deputy. He'd been training all day with Sky, and he'd brought her back earlier to see that everything, like apprentice jobs, had been seen to. He however, had grabbed a sparrow of the fresh kill pile and began to eat it. Though, as he looked about, it seemed not everything was as it should be. The elders den, was empty, the warriors den was mildly full and he couldn't remember when he'd last seen the Medicine cat. Regardless, it seemed everyone had dumped the Original RogueClan for The New ShadowClan. Moon resented the cats for that. They'd drop Touslepelt if they got a better opportunity. he thought to himself, taking another junk of sparrow, Although, I don't particularly agree with this "alliance" thing that Darkheart has going on. I think in most cases of those pitiful cats, its fear and regret rather than duty and respect. he scorned at them.
Looking back at his Sparrow thoughtfully, he realised that Petal had to be back at some pointtoday, whether or not SolarClaw was pushing her too hard or not. He'd ask her when she got back. The look SolarClaw had shown to Petal when she asked for her original name made Moon anxious. He'd only met once with her mother and even then he could tell that Petal in the end would turn out to be like her, whatever her name was. intelligent, powerful and cunning. With enough inspiration- her own inspiration which hadn't be aqquired by her parents- to be a medicine cat if she chose it.
Then, he narrowed his eyes, the tom shook his head and finished off the sparrow. Such meager portions they had now, the sparrows must be starting to nest, there were so few of them. He sighed slowly, waiting for something interesting to happen.

Darkheart was almost entirely nocturnal, but recently he hadn't been getting much sleep at all. The night was just beginning to creep up into his camp, and he relished the incoming darkness. He hated the uncomfortable sensation of sunlight against his black fur. The night was the time he ruled. Not anymore. The night is now Touslepelt's. But it will return to RogueClan in time. It was with a heavy heart that he acknowledged this fact, and with strong will that he resolved its end.
As the daylight faded away into the iron grasp of night, Darkheart padded out of his dark den. His vivid orbs took in the dusk camp, noting how empty it was. Everyone is out training apprentices. I wonder whether Solarclaw has killed Petal yet. He laughed to himself silently, but only for a second. He needed the young loner to stay, hard as it was to admit. He needed all the force he could get. Because as soon as I can I will bring down the tyranny. Touslepelt's days are numbered. His lip curled in an involuntary snarl, which he relaxed quickly.
One cat besides the leader remained in the camp. Another dark shape, Moon stood out against the lingering daylight. He was by the fresh-kill pile, eating the rest of a small sparrow. Because of how little territory belonged to the tiny Clan, there was little prey to be had. Darkheart was planning to hunt somewhere else later. Instead of picking up fresh-kill, he approached his deputy. "Moon. Would you like to speak with me in my den?" There was plenty to talk about.

Moons blue orbs slid up towards Darkhearts, he flicked his tail in agreement and stood up, shaking the remains of the sparrow away. [ooc; what do they actually do with eaten kill? ] He hadn't any choice in the smaller toms question, of course he'd have to go. It wasn't exactly a question either, more of a "you will come" in a polite way.
It was cold for this season. normally, most cats would be grooming themselves under the stars. Tonight, however, he'd be tucked away in the center of the warriors. It wasn't until he looked at Darkheart that he noiced there was indeed something good to talk about, his posture, his icyness in his voice, there was something in need of dicussing. There was no need of speech, not now anyway. He couldn't just move his black head and say "Yeah, I'm coming now" it wasn't right. Moon stepped back and waited for Darkheart to start moving.

ooc; they eat all of it - they can digest bones, that's where they get calcium - except for feathers. Those they'd probably either push to the side or bury or something.
Darkheart was suddenly very happy with his pick of deputy. This cat would make a wonderful consultant and then, if Darkheart met his end, a wonderful leader. Darkheart could tell just from the look in his deputy's eyes. Moon understood that Darkheart was dead serious about this whole thing and that there was something heavy weighing on the leader's mind. He understood that there had been no request in the tom's words, only a gentle order. He understood that there was no need for speech until they were talking about the problem itself. Touslepelt.
Although he was much smaller than most of his Clan, about the size of an older apprentice but without the awkwardly lengthy legs or big paws, Darkheart had an aura about him. He almost even smelled of leader. The way he walked towards his den without looking back - just assuming that Moon would follow - showed how in control he always was. The only time is iron aura faltered? When he knew he was defeated. So that insolent, disrespectful Touslepelt just had to go. If everyone in the forest knew that I could be defeated, what would they do? Would the Clans chase out RogueClan? He knew that his small but strong Clan would never be able to stand up to the forces of the forest Clans.
When the small black tom reached his den, he walked inside for a few paces and then turned halfway towards the entrance and sat, inviting his deputy to sit near the opposite wall. Not waiting for Moon to do so, he spoke. His words were quiet - he didn't want the rest of his Clan to know of how terrible their position was. "Touslepelt has become a problem. He has taken over the night, and we need to get it back." No need to bother beating around the bush - Darkheart always got straight to the point when he was in this kind of mood.

Moon walked into the den, listening to the toms words. I can see your concern. he mused half to himself half to the male sat in front of him. If I may say so, we are few enough to attack Touslepelt and his Clan. And with prey running the way it is... for the time being I can only impose the idea of raiding RiverClan or WindClan. he told his leader honestly. He wasn#'t one for denying the truth from others. As blaint and blunt as it was- it was the truth.
His tail swished to one side as he sat down opposite Darkheart. Moon watched his leader thoughtfully. If a cat were to walk in now, their first guesses would probably be the taller broader one must be leader. However, with a look from the decietful tom in front of him- Moon would certaintly be downsized.
ooc: lack of muse- sorry for the crappy post!

Yes. And Touslepelt lives not in a protected Clan area but alone. If we were to surprise him and only a few cats were about, we would certainly win. But we should pick a good time so that there are as few casualties as possible on our side. Attacking any of StarClan's slaves would only have us chased out of this forest once and for all. Tensions are high."
He watched the larger tom before him, a cat of midnight to be sure. All black, he would make a wonderfully threatening mascot. And he already had an aura about him that suggested power and danger - both good things for a leader of the nighttime Clan. Besides, he was short and to-the-point just in the brief part of the discussion that they had already had. Darkheart's tail flicked back and forth lazily in a bored kind of way, a habit he had forced himself to develop in important meetings. It gave other cats a fear that they would lose his interest and that he would walk out on a deal or attack them then and there out of sheer boredom.

I think it would be wise, lest you forget. I don't think he lives alone all the time. Why don't you send warriors to scout the area? Then prefering to night or day and wind or rain, make your plan. he said, thinking what he'd thought only a few moments ago. He looked at Darkheart, the flick of the tail ment nothing to him - perhaps the eyes did, slightly, but not as much as it owuld other cats. He'd watched the same thing himself, a cat and the tom were talking, unwanting to be rid of their attention they tried deperately to gain favour. Even if it ment making a fool out of themselves.

Sky walked into camp, tired, but not showing it. She had been training with Moon all day...and then he had told her to hunt, and not to come back until she came back with fresh-kill. RougeClan, unlike the other 'clans' was not soft; when Moon told her not to come back unless it was with fresh-kill, he meant he wouldn't let her into camp if she didn't have it, even if it took her moons. Luckily, Sky learned fast...most RougeClan cats had to.
Sky dropped the mouse that had taken her two hours to catch onto the fresh-kill pile, and turned to look for Moon. She wanted to tell him she had completed her task. It could probably wait 'til morning...but there was still of touch of kittish pride in her. And also, she wanted to eat tonight...and wouldn't be allowed to until she reported to Moon.
She moved towards Darkheart's den, as he could have been sleeping by it. Her movements were awkward, and her body lanky, but she managed to move quietly just the same.
"Moon?" she called softly, not wanting to disturb anyone. She frowned internally, not letting it show on her face, and opened her mouth to scent the air.
There!
Sky moved in Moon's direction, straight towards Darkheart's den. She stopped short when she scented Darkheart as well, and debated backing away. But they had surely already heard and scented her, and it would worry them if she suddenly left.
"I am sorry, I didn't realize." she meowed.
OOC: If you want, you can ignore this, and Sky will go off again. Or you can just tell her to leave. Or, you can involve her. She's a good little soldier; she'd never betray her clan or leader, or deputy....

ooc; I think that they'll probably involve her in the plot, but not in the discussion - feel free to comment out of character, but this should be just between dep and leader probably. Whitey, thoughts? She can enter briefly, but Darkheart certainly wouldn't tell her anything just because of his personality.
Indeed - we do need more information before we attack. But above all, we cannot let Touslepelt find out about our pl -- " He stopped abruptly there as he heard a set of pawsteps approaching the opening of his den. He turned his vivid green eyes towards the place where he knew Sky's face would appear in only a few moments. His eyes were cool and slightly laughing, a demeanor that he had been famous for in his youth. His taunts had weakened as he grew older, and as the stress and responsibility piled on him took away the time he had to trespass and exercise the fighting he had learned so well so long ago. Besides, fighting skills and cruel teasing are no longer valued. All that anyone cares about is the kill. Why end a life when you can have just as much fun without doing so? Of course, that opinion was considered weak. Darkheart had once been considered the most dangerous and cold-hearted cat in the forest - and now he was just some old, soft leader under Touslepelt's rule.

ooc; I agree with Cindy. I reckon Sky should enter for a short while, because you have posted XD So =]
Moons head turned towards the opening. Sky, you know better than to disturb us. he said to the shadow stood outside. How embarrasing, he thought silently I thought she'd have more sense to know that I was in here. His tail flicked agitated but he knew better than to continue their discussion. His head turned back to the center of the den, the awkward silence fell and he narrowed his eyes, not unhappy but angry enough to narrow his eyes. She should know better than to come out here when we're talking. It was warm inside the den, lucky for Darkheart. The den he slept in, he got warmest parts because he was sleeping in the center of the den.
ooc2; bad post sorry. We should really wait for seasle to post next.

Sky flinched. It was a very large show of emotion for her, and it only happened because of her fatigue and the fact that neither Darkheart or Moon could see her. Yet, she still scolded herself for it.
"I apoligize." Sky meowed, not offering up any explaination or excuse for why she was there. Unless asked, she saw no reason to.
She had also felt a touch of hurt at Moon's scolding. She had...just wanted to tell him, have him be...proud. And then she fierecly destroyed that emotion. She did not need praise for every little thing she did, and should be grateful that Moon did not give her that; did not spoil her.
And she was. After finishing with this, she drifted into her thoughts again for a few seconds.
I need to be more careful, I need to know more, I need....I only wish I knew what I had to do, in any case. I wish the only reason I failed would be because I couldn't phiscally or mentally do my task, and not because I was not smart enough to understand what I must do....but this serves no purpose. I must simply remember well, and be more cautious, and less wanting for my own comforts.
Sky's thoughts were not the best, but she held her head high, and stood in a softly respectful position, waiting for the order to leave.
OOC: Such a good little soldier!

"Sky, keep in mind the difference between Moon your mentor and Moon the deputy. And ask before you enter. Would you give us permission to return to our discussion?" His voice was teasing in a fatherly sort of way. He didn't try to be so soft - it came to him naturally. I remember when I ruled this Clan with claws of steel. When I forced apprentices to learn the hard way, insulting them so they would know how to keep their own ego up. What happened to the young Darkheart? Where has he gone? He stopped his train of thoughts with a flick of his tail, one that actually conveyed some of his emotions - his annoyance. It probably looked for all the world like he was frustrated at the insolence of the young apprentice, not at his own lack of frustration. He did not bother to do anything to correct that assumption.

Sky almost smiled. She knew very well Darkheart was displeased with her, but just the idea of giving them permission....
She dipped her head in respect, and backed away quickly. Looked like there would be no supper tonight....and it was of course, her fault.
OOC: Sorry, short post. Oh well....

ooc: My bad -_- I haven't been active much due to my job.Relly sorry
The jet black tom didn't say anything, he remained silent as they she-cat ducked back out, he blinked as she nodded respectfully, unuinued to stare at the dark spot where his apprentice was stood. 'Sky, keep in mind the difference between Moon your mentor and Moon the deputy.' Moon didn't react to the Leaders words, but he found it new and strange to be referred as someone of importance.
