Shadowpaw glared at the cats that passed him. Why couldnt StarClan just put an end to his misery and pain? Why did they have to make him lose everything in his life but leave him to live? Why was there even a StarClan? Just a bunch of kit storieshe growled in himself. Thats all they are, kit stories

Darkpaw's orange eyes darkened as he caught the other tom's dark pelt. Through the leaves, the sun filtered through and dappled his black fur with leafshade. The massive black tom blinked and padded over to the tom, clearly in misery and pain. Though they shared the same Clan, Darkpaw couldn't say he'd really met him before; ShadowClan could be a different world for many cats.
The muscular black cat winced in slight sympathy for Shadowpaw, and he padded forward, his eyes brightening and darkening again. "Hey," he mewed, knowing he'd get a tart reply and preparing himself for it, "I'm Darkpaw." Glancing around, he mewed again, "How are you? What's the matter? StarClan step on yer tail?"

Shadowpaw let out a hiss. "StarClan have no sympathy for me. They have for a long time let me live in pain yet wont let me out of it." he turned his back on Darkpaw.

Darkpaw's ears flattened at this, and he opened his mouth to hiss. "Hey! Don't go throwin' a pity party on yerself! StarClan watches over all o' ya little mousebrains who 'er jus' feelin' sorry fer themselves, 'cause somethin' don't go there way!"

Shadowpaw twisted around glaring at the tom. His fur bristled as he snarled. "I didnt ask you to intervean did I? Now why dont you go and have a happy little nap whilst StarClan is watching you."
