Lilykit sat, silent and slightly annoyed. She was confined in this stupid den with other kits who were all tired and she was expected to sleep. She was so energetic, she simply couldn't lie down. She knew that her mother had good reason to tell her not to run around - the wounds and scars that covered her underbelly were testament to how much it hurt her even just to move. She scuffled a paw in the trampled dirt ground, tracing strips in the earth with her claws. She wasn't allowed out, and with so many warriors around - both ThunderClan and her own Clan, there wasn't much of a chance for her to escape unnoticed. So she stayed where she was, wishing for some ThunderClan kit to have the energy and knowledge of how to get out some way that wasn't through the rest of the camp.

Cricketkit lay against the wall of the nursery, enviously staring at the kittens who snuggled by their mother's chest. Through slitted eyes, he watched them sleep peacefully. But one kitten was clearly still slumber-less.. A kitten he knew briefly, Lilykit. The tabby tomkit raised his head, unafraid of being caught. After all, everyone else slept, except for the ShadowClan she-kit. He emitted a small purr, giving her a meaningful look that read, "How boring is this?"

Instead of answering his question directly, Lilykit whispered back, careful not to wake any of the other cats, "Do you know a way out of your camp?" Her tone showed the excitement she felt at getting away from this stupid nursery in this Clan she didn't even know. ThunderClanners were okay, but their territory was terrible! There were too much low to the ground greenery, whereas ShadowClan had tall pines whose needles coated the ground and, for the most part, kept most smaller plants from thriving. It was not a familiar place, but she didn't have the knowledge of how to explore without getting caught. Perhaps this ThunderClanner would.

Cricketkit thought for a moment. He was a kit.. Normally he wasn't allowed out of camp.. It had never occured to him to leave before. His heart started to pump harder. This would be fun.. "The nursery is connected to the camp wall," Cricketkit began, "And in the summer, one spot is always warmer than the rest. It's probably a weak spot in the lining."
The tabby kit leaped up and trotted swiftly over to the hated hot-nest. It was empty. With a deep breath, he reared back, and headbutted the wall. His heart nearly stopped at the loud sound it made.. He slowly turned around.. Thank god, no one was disturbed. With another deep breath, he tried again. He head crashed through, sending him tumbling into open air, spilling over dew-spotted ferns.

Lilykit raced towards the newly made exit, her heart thumping in her chest as fast as her feet on the ground. But she didn't notice until too late that there was a solitary sleeping kit directly in her path. She had only moments to think. She tried to slow down but started to stumble, and knew that she would end up falling right into the slumbering cat. She didn't have time to do anything, and her little body took over. She found herself leaping clean over the kit, then flailed for a moment in the air as if trying to grab on to something. She landed on her forefeet like all felines do, but wasn't ready for the impact. She lost her balance and her hind paws went right over her head, flipping her onto her back. She got up, gasped a couple breaths, and looked up. Her eyes were round with even more excitement than before her jump and fall. She dashed out of the hole in the wall, then turned to her newly found companion. "Did you see that?" she whispered breathlessly, then continued in a more sensible way: "We should push some of the brambles back up so they can't see the gap." She began to do just that with her nose, pulling and pushing the loose ends into place.
