She was, for the most part, recovered from the ordeal that had struck her as an apprentice. Still, not a night went by that she didn't think of him, but now it was rare that a tear slipped past her eyelids. She was no longer like a pitiful kit that would cry when pushed too hard. Now she craved a challenge, just like she did before, but this wasn't a physical challenge. This was more or less an emotional one. Before she had wanted to and did shove it aside and pretend it didn't exist, but after a moon of thinking and eventually planning she had come up with a decision on how to solve it: accept it. It was an undeniable fact that she loved Lunarpelt. She had known he was an option when Firestorm was alive, but she had refused to acknowledge it. After Firestorm's death he had been there for her and she tried to push away the feelings that need not be hidden now that he was gone. It had taken her a long time to put Firestorm behind her, not entirely, but to make him more of a memory than as if he were gone on a trip. He wasn't coming back, and she had every right to move on. Move right on to her best friend. She still felt guilt tugging at her heart with every step she took, but she knew it was for her own good, and Lunarpelt's too, she hoped. He had confessed his love for her. She had shot him down. Now she hoped he hadn't moved on.
Before she turned in for the night yesterday she had [powerplay] spoken to Lunarpelt briefly and asked him to meet her at Snakerocks midday tomorrow. She obviously wanted to get there early so she had time to collect her thoughts and she was almost there now. Her muscles were just about fully built back up after those few moons of neglect and she was starting to fill out again, this semi-obvious as they flexed under her pelt at each long stride she took. Her hips were a little more defined than they should perhaps healthily be, but that was to be expected after all that time spent eating so little. Scars littered her body - the most noticeable one being the hairless scar that ran across her right flank - but luckily her face was still flawless.
When she arrived at the collection of rocks she stopped for a moment, opening her mouth and scenting for the poisonous adders that lurked here. She scented one and quickly surveyed her surroundings, only to see it hurriedly slithering into a hole away from the rocks that she planned to wait at. After a few more minutes spent identifying the species that surrounded her she hopped onto the nearest rock then onto the nearest alrge one. She sat down neatly, her large bengal body soaking up the sun's merciless heat, but she didn't mind. The sun was a cat's friend. With pride she remembered the elder's tale - ThunderClan, decendants of the great LionClan, got their love for soaking in its rays from their long ago ancestors. Even though she wasn't blood-related to any cat in her clan she still appreciated all the things they did just as much as any clanblooded elder.

Stretching out, Lunarpelt let his paws move the dirt beneath him as his mouth opened in a large yawn, tongue curling out before snapping back in. Standing up, his back legs reached out behind him as he took a few steps forward than casually took a seat upon the cold dirt and grass. Deep topaz eyes scoured the area idly and by the misty dew on the grass beneath him, he could tell the light had just risen. His black ears idly twitched as he listened to the surroundings, head slowly turning about as his fur glistened in the dim light. Knowing all to well where he was, he pushed his rear up and off the ground as he began to move forward, his white furred belly giving a gentle grumble in hunger. "Oh be quiet," Lunarpelt mumbled to his stomach knowing he was quite famished and would need something for a good feast. The black and white pelt didn't give him a lot of camouflage in this terrain, but he would have to figure something out. Paws padded against the grass as his eyes surveyed the forest, searching for anything that would saute his rumbling tummy.
There didn't seem to be much at first glance, a few small prey running about, but nothing that would help. Knowing this was going to be a long hunger, Lunarpelt pressed on, searching for berries, if there were any around to be seen. Being a loner, he knew a lot more than others, but it also gave him the disadvantage of always being in a new area. Progressing slowly through the forest, his eyes caught hold of a some rocks just beyond the forest. By now his curiosity got the better of him and he pushed to wards the rather sunny place. As he exited the cool shade of the forest, the sun seemed to be rather vibrant in this area, yet it was nice. Slowly padding over the rocks, Lunarpelt made sure to take careful steps, not wanting to accidentally hurt himself in the process of hunting. Stopping, his ears perked and twitched as he listened to the soft scrambling of mice, or at least that was his best guess. Drawing closer to the snake-infested rocks, he stalked forward, his eyes glaring ahead in hopes of spotting something.
Freezing instantly, his eyes caught hold of a mouse, standing a pounce and a leap away and the mouse stared back at him. Lunarpelt didn't make a move as the mouse idly stood up, its nose wiggling about as it sniffed the air, curious to know what was just before it. Licking his tongue over his maw, Lunarpelt' rear wiggled just before he pounced. Sadly the mouse managed to be quicker this time, but Lunarpelt didn't let that stop him as he leaped forward again. This time his paws managed to catch the mouse by its tail and Lunarpelt pressed his paw hard upon it as he stared at the mouse. Tilting his head either which way, he knew his stomach was hungry, yet his mind said go meet her; it was a difficult decision, for many reasons. He was acting like an apprentice, playing, in an effort to stall. He'd tried to block away thoughts of....her ever since she'd rejected him. But their friendship was coming back...at least for now it was. She'd asked him to meet her here, among the adders, the day before. As he neared the other side of Snakerocks, he sighed. He'd have to confront her sooner or later...he'd heard her settle onto the largest rock, his favorite one. Adders slipped around him, into small crevices near his paws, but he ignored them. One last leap and he landed beside Leopardfur. Yes? His mew wasn't...cold...but it was quite emotionless. He didn't want to...explode or open up too much in front of her. Again.

.kiss me it'll heal, but it won't forget. OOC: Coming, coming, coming! -cracks knuckles and gets to work-
Her claws had long since began to knead the rock beneath her paws. She knew it was a bad habit, it would make her claws blunt if she did it for much longer, but she couldn't help it. Amber eyes were being entertained by following the black snake that slithered beneath her paws, tempted to reach out and snatch it up to play, but she knew how dangerous its toxic venoms were. That didn't stop her from raising her right paw and letting it lurch forward slightly everytime it slithered past. She stopped when she heard the sounded of pawpads hitting a nearby rock, looking up in time to see him sailing neatly onto the rock beside her. Suddenly she felt her stomach stirr, and gripped the smooth stone tighter with her claws to keep from sliding off. She felt like flinching at his emotionless tone, though she knew it was nothing close to how bad a tone she really did deserve. It was now or never, he deserved an answer.
I like to think I'm not a very roundabout cat, Lunarpelt. Beating around the bush isn't me. So I'm just going to be straight forward. She offered him a weak smile before continuing on. Her voice was strong despite the nervousness she felt. I was wrong. What I said when you told me how you feel...or felt, I mean. Since Firestorm died I've been so mixed up. Even when he was alive I knew we could have worked, Lunarpelt, but I was and still am in a way devoted to Firestorm. He was the one thing standing between us entering that new level and suddenly he was gone, I didn't know what to do. It felt like I was betraying him with the thoughts I had. That's the last thing I wanted to do to my deceased mate. So I just tried to ignore them, but you then you came out with your feelings and I was forced to deal with it even though I tried not to at first.
She stopped for a moment before continuing, looking him straight in the eyes now, Since then I've been thinking about it nonstop and I'm finally ready to deal with what I feel. I love you, Lunarpelt. Not in a friendly way either. In a I-want-to-have-your-kits and be-called-your's way. I'm just not sure how you feel anymore. I bet I messed everything up, didn't I?

Lunarpelt's amber eyes glittered in worry as she began. What was she talking about? His ears twitched in irritation; she said she was a straightforward kind of cat, but here she was, talking. Would she get to the point?
Then he frowned, doubt flooding his mind. Maybe this was the point. He stopped trying to criticize her inside himself and swiveled his sharp black ears toward her, from where they had been twitching in annoyance. His eyes stared into hers; amber met amber. Her beautiful voice caught his attention in time for him to hear her say she felt like she was betraying Firestorm. A rush of emotions went through him, burning his pelt. That meant she had feelings for him she wasn't supposed to have. But why hadn't she told him? He narrowed his topaz orbs.
He snapped out of his thoughts and began to listen again, intently this time. He actually wanted to hear what she had to say, because she was opening up to him for once. He didn't blink as he stared at her beautiful pelt, gold spotted with black. Although his ears were focused on her voice, his eyes were focused on her essence. She was just so beautiful. As she looked him in the eyes, a tingle ran through him. He listened even more intently than before--if that was even possible. "I love you, Lunarpelt. Not in a friendly way either. The slits of his golden optics widened as she finished her small speech. She loved him. She wanted to be his. Who cared if she messed everything up? He forgave her. That was what love was all about. A rumble rose in his throat, growing louder and louder until he finally broke it off.
Leapordfur...I... He couldn't think what to say. This was so overwhelming, yet so amazing. A miracle, sent by StarClan. His eyes glinted in pleasure, and he padded forward to touch his muzzle to hers. This situation was not one fit for words anymore.

.kiss me it'll heal, but it won't forget OOC: KAWAIIIII!
Leopardfur could see he was getting more and more irritated as she continued talking. She had meant to be straight to the point when she started, but she knew he needed the backup story to have any chance of realizing why it was she had done what she'd done. When his slits grew wider she took it as anger and quickly looked done at her paws shamefully. She really did mess things up, how could she have thought he'd forgive her? She really didn't deserve it. But then the rumbling in his chest reached her ears. As it started to grow louder she looked up, hope shining in her glittering amber eyes. His purring broke off and she continued to stare at him, ears flicking slightly when he started to speak, clinging to every word she hoped to come. Just say it. Please, just say it! she pleaded in her mind, but instead he was leaning forward. Her heart must have skipped a beat when his muzzle touched her own, because it took her a few moments before she responded by leaning forward further and gently licking his cheek.
Thank StarClan, she breathed.

OOC: Uhhh...I guess? xD Btw, I was thinking no kits for awhile. It'd be cool if they had a strong relationship and get the chance to experience things for awhile before having kits pushed on them. Unless you were really hoping for kits, of course.
