[glow=green,2,000]IC: The sun was beginning to lower to the ground, though currently it hung just above the pines. Oakheart took a deep sigh, knowing he should start the Evening patrol. His brilliant blue gaze fell apon the stockpile, a fresh field mouse he had brought in earlier in the day now taunting him. He shrugged, figuring most of the clan had already eaten, he got to his paws and took a few long strides before he reached the pile to pick up the limp rodent in his jowels, he carried his dinner back in the middle of the rock where he usually perched. There he began to tear the mouses' head apart from it's body, ready not for him to consume. After the few gulps of the meat were finished, he trotted up next to a black tom, he gave a single head nod, "Wirewind, are you and Puzzlepaw ready for the Evening Patrol?" he asked, tone mild as usual.

[glow=green,6,300]History: The dark sorrel tom had belonged to former clan, in a forest from the current, 12 day cat walk. His life had started him as a loner, with two sisters and a twin brother, who had died at birth. His mother(Sophie) acompanied them in a broken down well, dried of any reminants of water, a mere cement hole in the ground, perfect place in the warm summers, that was where he was born, along with his siblings. His mother was once a kittypet, though had ventured out to freedom later on in her life. She had met a Tom and seemed to have what was to be a one night stand, as she's never seen the fathering tom in a single night after the kits became. She had her kits alone in the meadow beside the barren well and took care of them the best a mother on her own could, though prey seemed scarce, mostly rats and a few gophers. She feared the long winter was approuching too fast, the kits only 3 weeks of age, the first snowfall was beginning. Inside the old well, snow collected easily, which made a bad place to live in the winter. As snow would continue to pile with no place to go. She knew she had to move the kits to a better location. Oakheart's former name as loner was Pecador, after his father, whom he looked alike, and was the eldest son, his two sisters were named Clover and Lilly(The still born, well, the runt, was named Giddeon). Sophie took her 3 kits to the nearest forest, she knew she had to give them up, as she wanted them to have the protection of a clan. She placed the three kits at the border of the forest, it was probley the hardest thing she would ever have to do, but she knew it was for the better. The three kits were eventually found by a Moonclan cat, Patchpelt, who took the three youngsters back to the camp, they were quite skinny, and melnurished. The Moonclan accepted the kits, as they were in a dire need of cats, having only 4 warriors themselves, a Leader on his last life, a good-enough medicine cat, and a fine deputy. The kits' were given their foster mother, Puzzlepelt. Pecador became known as Oakkit, for his dark coat, Lilly was Lillykit, and and Clover was Cloverkit, as for the girls it just seemed natural, and less confusing for the kits. Moonclan was almost at war with Jadeclan, spies often entering thier camp, and not enough warriors to guard the camp, the kits were made Apprentices much younger then they should have. Oakpaw was mentered by Moonclan's deputy, Silverpelt. Lillypaw was to be mentored by the medicine cat, Moontail, and Cloverpaw was mentored by Patchpelts. Oakpaw trained long and hard, his muscles seemed well developed for his young age, most likely because of the size of his father. He was quite the little fighter, being trained by one of the better cats in the clan. The Moonclanw as still suffering greatly, the only males in the clan was Oakpaw and the Leader, Shadedstar, who was getting quite old, and refused to mate with any of the females, as he still mourned over a loved one, scared to love again. Two of the apprentices were ushered up to Warriors as the attacks from Jadeclan continued, Jadeclan being a much stronger clan then the Moonclan. They became Oakheart, and Clovertail. Lillypaw was still learning much, as were Oakheart and Clovertail, though to Shadedstar, it seemed he thought the name meant something stronger? The winter was long, hard and cold. Prey was seemed even scarcer then it was when they were with their mother. The Moonclan still didn't have a fighting chance against the Jadeclan, they continued to ward the off thier territory the best they could, but prey was still stolen. The Jadeclan wanted to push the Moonclan out of the forest, they had made an allience with the Nightclan, and in a brutal attack their leader, Shadedstar was lost, along with the lives of Patchpelt and Moontail. Silverpelt took up the place as leader, the only cats remaning were Clovertail, Puzzlepelt, now Lillyleaf(new medicine cat), Silverstar and Oakheart were left. They knew they couldn't handle much more, Oakheart was the new Deputy, though lost in confusion. With the Jadeclan and Nightclan now both on thier backs, stealing prey, and attacking without warning, they were at thiers nails end. Clovertail had had all she could take, she was a nervous wreck, fearing any noise in the midst of the night. She pleaded with her sister to leave with her, Lillyleaf was hesitant, but she knew her sister was going, and it would be hard to make it on her own. She agreed, and without a word they both left the forest, returning as almost loners, togather as sisters. Now only remaining the three cats, Silverstar had decided to try and consult the leaders of Nightclan and Jadeclan. Birchstar, the leader of Jadeclan, proposed the idea of Jadeclan accepting in the remaining Moonclan cats. Silverstar was reluctant, but saw few other options. Puzzlepelt agreed, but the thought sickened Oakheart. He said his goodbyes to his old clan members, and started on the trail to his new hope, still quite young, missing his old clan, as he was ever so loyal, it had been a tough struggle, tohugh he had made it this far. As the newleaf was starting to show, prey was beginning to amount again, making his journey all the more easier. He had finally made found another forest, scents of cats filling his nostrils, he held his head high, muddy paws tredded into the forest, his heart racing with excitment.[/glow]
