Fawnpelt narrowed her green octives but said nothing. Just continued to wave her long red tail in the air hypnotising herself. As her tail began to trun spirals, he green eyes clouded over and she felt all weak and dizzy.

Darkspirit snorted a little as he watched the she-cat's antics. Laughter was a little beyond him, so he didn't go any further than the snort. He couldn't remember he last time he'd laughed. Well, sincerely laughed. Nasty laughs were uttered by the black tom now and again, but that was all. Even smiles were a very rare feat. He settled his head on his paws, still looking at Fawnpelt out of the corners of his eyes, though being careful not to let her notice. He wondered if she 'd lose her balance or something. She certainly seemed close to it.

She glared at Darkspirit, but didn't say anything.

Darkspirit registered the scowl, and silently asked himself if he was as bad as all that. True, he didn't take kindly to being woken in the middle of the night, and kits weren't exactly his cup of tea, and yes, he wasn't a very social type, but was this enough to have the she-cats glaring at him? The black tom shrugged. He'd never understand them anyway. They were far too complicated. It was so much easier to stay by himself. In fact, he wondered, what possessed me to join a Clan? I must have been mad. Truth was, the nagging feeling he'd had the previous moon, when he was still a loner, had been actually indicating loneliness, but Darkspirit wouldn't have known that, convinced as he was that every cat was for himself. Glancing sideways at Fawnpelt, he smirked very very slightly in response to her frown, wondering what the her reaction would be.

Fawnpelt rolled her green eyes knowing that the black tom was teasing her. She didn't really know why, but she seemed to have bad luck with black cats. But not black and whites! she thoug, thinking of Phantomwind.

Darkspirit grinned to himself. When he'd been a loner, he'd had no one to annoy. He raised his head to look at the sun. Judging by it's height, he'd have to do his blessed daily hunt in a short while. But in the mean-time, a decent nap would do him good. Glaring again at the kits, who were still playing and squealing, he settled his head comfortably on his paws, and closed his eyes, so that only two thin red slits could be seen on his black face. He kept one ear turned towards the she-cats; after all, he couldn't just trust everyone he spoke to not to attack him while he slept.

Fawnpelt stood up and stalked off, a scowl on her face.

''Well, er...that was pleasant...''Blackpearl murmured after watching all the glaring. She stood as the tom settled himself for a nap,''Well, out of sheer habit, the name's blackpearl, if you want company on your hunt later just let me know.'' She shrugged, turning away from the black tom. he could have at least told them his name.

Darkspirit opened one ey and glanced at the she-cat. "I agree, very pleasant." he commented smoothly, with a small flick of the tail, "And of course,if I feel like company, you'll be the first I come to ask." Having said that, he silently took note of the other's name, then closed his red eye, and dozed off.

''Thank you. Nice meeting you have a nice day.''Blackpearl stopped hearing his reply and nodded to the tom. With that she turned and padded away.
