My friend Ashlee is engaged. She's 14 and doesn't joke around about stuff like this. At the moment I'm on bad terms with her because I think she's making the worst decision of her life. here's the convo I had with her. Please any advice you can give before she gets her heart broken! Ash: ;D Ash: ;D Me: ? Ash: ;D Me: wat's with all the grins?! Ash: I'M ENGAGED! Me: ... Ash: ? Me: XD very funny Ash: I'm not kidding, Allison! Me: WHAT?! Ash: Of course we're not getting married right away Me: Ash, this isn't funny Ash: it's not suppose to be! Me: YOU CANNOT BE ENGAGED AT 13!! Ash: 14... Me: What about college?! Ash: the f*ck with it Me: Ash, you're making a huge mistake Me: how long do you think this will alst?! Ash: last time I checked this is my life, Allison! Ash: You should be happy for me! Me: DOES SARY EVEN KNOW?! Me: UR PARENTS?! Ash: no, yes Ash: well Me: ?? Ash: I'm telling Sarah when she gets home Me: I can't believe u! Ash: Jason and I are serious about each other Ash: it'll work Me: fine Me: screw up ur life  I'm so worried she'll have her heart broken! This is her first bf how could she possibly hold onto him for 4 years and then get married?! |

WOWZERS, talk about commitment, I sympathize for you goldy, i bet it's hard being in the middle like that. i totally understand how you feel. I'M only 14! I can't even think of things like that! wow, if she's serious she must really believe that it will work, WOWZERS! WOWZERS! Hope the best for her and for you Goldeh...

Her sister's(Sary who is like one of my best friends) is mad at me. She accused me of siding with her. Now neither of them are talking to me! Sary and Ash can hold grudges for a long time...like try five years and still going strong!(some girl and it was jsut a stupid arguement) ~:Goldy:~ |

well, she already knows how you feel about it, so, my sugguestion is to stick by her because if her heart does get broken, do you want to be there for her...just...dont remind her that you warned her, it'll make her angry. and she's your friend right? so that shouldnt change because she is with a guy. at least she's not pregnant...

You missed one little detail. Her sister is totally against it and if I sid with Ash she's going to hate me. If I side with Sary. Ash is gonna hate me.
At the moment both are hating me because they say I can't be on both sides!

NO FREAKING WAY! FOURTEEN?! THAT'S WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO YOUNG!
Goldy, I know that you don't want to side with anyone. And you don't have to be proactive about it or anything, but if you want to be clear on where you stand (with yourself at least) I would side with Sarah. Fourteen is WAY TOO YOUNG. Now one thing you can't do no matter what is tell them both that you side with them. BAD IDEA! Especially if they're sisters! I'm sure you weren't thinking about that, but just in case!
Now I don't think there's much you can do about if if she wants it, Jason wants is, and her parents approve... or at least won't kill her before she gets married. But another thing you can't do is deliberately tamper with their relationship (another thing you wouldn't do, but I have to say something about it!).................... I really don't know what else to say!
This is crazy. Hopefully your friend will realize what she's doing is wrong.

OMG! Goldy! I'm sorrry! You must feel terrible! Wow....I don't think she could have even gotten married at 14? But man....I know all about the suicide thing. I'm really sorry, a first it makes you realize how important life is...then it just made me mad when Frank shot himself. I basically wanted to die...and the whole next month i had a spurt in trying to kill myself....I've learned DON'T DO THAT! I'm sure you really miss your friend, and i feel really bad, because it is really painful when a friend comitts suicide. I hope you'll be alright Goldy! Remember you have friends everywhere, even up in Wisconsin.

Their older brother just emailed me. Sarah slit her wrists in the bathtub while her family was out. She's been through so much! I can't believe she just wasted her life like this!

I'm sorry Goldy. As Mar said you have friends here too. -Huggles tight- I have never been through a friend dying, and I can't begin to imagine what it is like. If you need some one to talk with you i'll always be happy to  For some reason I can talk with people about everything, like at school I listen to them, so i'll listen to whatever you have to say. Also I talked to my cat today (Yes I talk to him and he listens.) about this situation. He stayed there for a moment, and I could've swore I saw a hint of sadness. I expect he got it from me sense I was sad for you, Goldy. Than when I talked to you on msn, I just wanted to give you a big hug in real life, but alas.
